Shouldn’t Animated Films With History Do Better At The Box Office? – AMC Movie News
Full Episode : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTWmlZxfN10&feature=share
Joseph Antoine writes: Why does it seem that animated movies for properties with a history, that are established, and have a built in fan base either produce sub-par numbers at the box office (examples Clone Wars Movie, TMNT) or completely fail at the box office (Transformers: The Animated Movie, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, etc.) . Where as animated movies with no history to them explode at the box office and have kids flocking to them ( Frozen, Pixar Movies, original Shrek, etc.) It seems like the complete opposite of how live action movies work, where you want the built in audience. Thanks again and never stop bringing the filthy.
